Titanium diboride (TiB2) powder is a kind of gray black powder. The powder particles have a complete hexagonal crystal structure. Titanium diboride (TiB2) powder has high melting point, high hardness, wear resistance, acid and alkali resistance, strong thermal conductivity, excellent electrical conductivity, excellent chemical stability and thermal vibration resistance, high oxidation resistance temperature, and resistance to oxidation below 1100°C. Its products have high strength and toughness, and do not corrode with aluminum and other molten metals, with excellent high temperature mechanical properties and high temperature conductivity.
Typical application:
- For conductive ceramic materials. It is one of the main materials of the vacuum coating conductive evaporation boat.
- For ceramic cutting tools and dies. It can be used to manufacture fine cutting tools, drawing dies, extrusion dies, sandblasting nozzles, sealing elements, etc.
- For composite ceramic materials. Titanium diboride can be used as an important component of multi-component composite materials. Titanium diboride can be used as a cutting tool composite material with tic, tin, SiC and other materials. It can also be used as a component to make armor protection materials. It is the best material for various high temperature resistant parts and functional devices.
- For cathode coating material of aluminum electrolytic cell. Because of the good wettability of TiB2 and liquid aluminum, using TiB2 as cathode coating material can reduce the power consumption and prolong the service life of the cell.
- Can be used as high temperature and corrosion resistant coating material on metal base surface for plasma spraying.
- Can be used to produce ceramic targets
