Platinum Capillary Tube
Product | Platinum Capillary Tube (Pt Capillary Tube) |
Part Number | PT-04 |
Platinum is a transition metal with high density, extensibility, silver color, metallic luster, hardness of 4-4.5 and relative density of 21.45. The melting point is 1773°C.
Its ductility is the highest of all pure metals, better than gold, silver and copper, but its malleability is lower than gold. Platinum metal has strong corrosion resistance, is very stable at high temperature, and its electrical properties are also very stable. It will not oxidize at any temperature, but can be eroded by various halogens, cyanide, sulfur and caustic soda. Platinum is insoluble in hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, but will dissolve in hot aqua regia to form chloroplatinic acid (H2PtCl6).
NCE can provide platinum (Pt) tubing with various dimensions, even the platinum capillary tubing. Please contact us for more details. Get a Quote Now! For other metals and precious metals, please check our Metals/Precious Metals catalog page.
