General Information about Nickel Wire
Nickel (Ni) is a silvery white metal, it’s a hard, malleable, ferromagnetic metallic element, which is highly polished and resistant to corrosion. The mechanical property of nickel is close to that of carbon steel, and its alkaline corrosion resistance is second only to that of silver in metal materials. A black protective film will be formed on the surface of nickel wire in concentrated alkali, which makes it very corrosion resistant.
Nickel is mainly used for light source materials and coating, with high surface quality and good processing performance. It can be used for making work such as anode, spacer, electrode bracket, etc. it can also be used as lead wire in bulb. In addition, it plays a very important role in chlor alkali industry. Electrical grade materials have many kinds of alloys due to different service conditions. Moreover, the electrode materials are required to have low resistivity to avoid electrode overheating, high temperature strength to reduce material wear, and sticky melting volatilization under the action of arc to improve service life.
NCE can provide the Nickel products in various shapes, like the wires, flat wires, strips and foils, with the purity up to 99.6% min. The raw material is high-purity electrolytic nickel. Get a Quote Now!

Nickel Wire Typical Specification
Pure nickel wire can be divided into Nickel 200 (UNS N02200) and Nickel 201 (UNS N02201) according to the material. It is also available in the form of the flat wires.
The difference between pure nickel 201(N4) and pure nickel 200 (N6) is that the highest carbon content of the former is 0.02% and that of the latter is 0.15%. Our purity can be up to 99.6% min, and the special requirement are available on request.

Main Applications
Pure nickel 200 (N6) Wire: In addition to the physical and chemical properties of nickel, it is also resistant to strong alkali, neutral and weak acid, and stable in the atmosphere, fresh water and sea water. It is mainly used to make all kinds of alkali resistant equipment. Its product shape includes tube, plate, rod, belt, wire, etc. N6 pure nickel wire also has good corrosion resistance, excellent heat-resistant concentrated alkali solution corrosion. It has excellent corrosion resistance to alkaline and neutral solution medium of carbonate, nitrate, sulfate, chloride and acetate.
Pure nickel 201 (N4) Wire: has good mechanical strength, corrosion resistance and high heat resistance. It is suitable for making vacuum devices, electronic instrument components, chemical production of strong alkali filter screen, etc. N4 pure nickel wire is suitable for radio, electric light source, mechanical manufacturing and chemical industry. It is an important structural material in vacuum electronic devices.
