Magnesium oxide (MgO) single crystal substrate is widely used in many film technology fields. For example, it is used to make magnetic films, semiconductor films, optical films and high temperature superconducting films. The dielectric constant and loss of MgO single crystal in the microwave band are very small and it can get a large area of substrate (diameter 2 inches and larger). As a result, it is one of the most important high-temperature superconducting film single crystal substrates in current industrialization. It can be used to make high temperature superconducting microwave filters and other devices for mobile communication equipment. It has a large practical and potential application market.
