About Lithium Titanate (Li4Ti5O12) Powder
Lithium Titanate Powder (Li4Ti5O12 Powder) is an inorganic compound with the molecular formula Li4Ti5O12. Its appearance is white powder, melting point is 1520 ~ 1564°C, insoluble in water and has strong melting aid properties. It can be used as raw material of titanium containing glaze. It has fusing property with less dosage and can be used as flux.
Lithium titanate can be doped materials for electronic industry, varistors, capacitors, MLCC and so on. Spinel lithium titanate (Li4Ti5O12) has attracted more and more attention as the electrode material of new energy storage battery. This is because the crystal structure of Li4Ti5O12 can maintain high stability in the process of lithium ion intercalation and de intercalation. Before and after lithium ion intercalation, Li4Ti5O12 is spinel structure, and the change of lattice constant is very small, and the change of volume is also very small (< 1%), so Li4Ti5O12 is called “zero strain” electrode material. Lithium titanate has been widely used in battery industry.
Preparation
It can be prepared by heating an appropriate amount of TiO2 and Li2CO3 to about 950°C.

Typical Applications:
Lithium titanate, as the cathode material of lithium-ion battery, can form a 2.4 V or 1.9 V lithium-ion secondary battery with cathode materials such as lithium manganate, ternary material or lithium iron phosphate. In addition, it can also be used as a positive electrode to form a 1.5 V lithium secondary battery with metal lithium or lithium alloy negative electrode. Lithium titanate has the characteristics of high safety, high stability, long life and green environmental protection. Positive electrode composition: lithium iron phosphate, lithium manganate or ternary material, nickel lithium manganate. Negative electrode: lithium titanate material.
In addition, it is mainly applicable to flux cored wire and stainless steel electrode.
