About Barium Strontium Titanate (BST) Powder

Barium Strontium Titanate (BST) Powder is a solid solution of barium titanate (BaTiO3) and strontium titanate (SrTiO3).

Under the interaction of ion displacement polarization and electron displacement polarization, BaTiO3 crystal is highly polarized and has high dielectric constant. However, BaTiO3 has a significant temperature dependence. As a new multifunctional ceramic material, SrTiO3 has better temperature stability and lower dielectric loss (10-3-10-4) than BaTiO3, but its dielectric constant (225-250) is lower than that of BaTiO3 (2х103-104). In order to overcome the shortcomings of the two materials, the BaxSr1-xTiO3 system is usually formed by replacing Ba with Sr. the capacitor ceramic materials that meet the performance requirements can be obtained by adjusting the x value.
