About Pyrolytic Boron Nitride (PBN) Tube
Pyrolytic Boron Nitride (PBN) is a kind of advanced ceramic, and it can be produced with 99.99% purity in high density. It is made of ammonia and boron halide through a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process under high temperature and high vacuum conditions: NH3 + BX3 → BN + 3HX.
The deposition process of PBN is like falling snow: the hexagonal primary boron nitride falls on the graphite matrix material, and after reaching a certain thickness, it is cooled and demolded. It can be produced as PBN tubes and sheets, or as PBN final products, such as crucibles, boats, coatings and so on.
Features of PBN Tubes:
High purity (99.99%)
Uniform thickness (thickness typically below 0.8 mm)
Low outgassing rate at high temperature
High strength, not easy to deform
NCE can provide Pyrolytic Boron Nitride (PBN) Tubes as required. Various sizes can be customized. Please contact us for more details. Get a Quote Now! For other ceramic materials, please check our Ceramics catalog page.
